Meet Justin English, Owner and Head Trainer
Justin grew up in Ventura, California, and has always loved activities like surfing, swimming, and team sports such as baseball, soccer, and water polo. He played water polo at the highest club and collegiate water polo levels and in his off time, surfed all over the world.
However, Justin's athletic journey faced a significant setback when he tore his labrum in his right shoulder during his collegiate water polo career, which required surgery. Justin's road to recovery was full of challenges. He spent hundreds of hours in a physical therapist's office. Through this, he discovered that his purpose was to help others prevent injury, correctly strength train, and grow their mental toughness. He worked hard, returned to school, and captained his collegiate water polo team. Justin earned a B.S. in Sports Psychology, an M.S. in Exercise Science and Coaching, and the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS), along with other certifications in personal training, nutrition, and corrective exercise.
Justin is now a Professor of Exercise Science, collegiate strength and conditioning coach, water polo coach, surfer, and athlete. He lives in Santa Barbara, California where he runs Unbroken Health and Fitness with one goal: to provide elite training for all ages, all abilities, all people.
Through Unbroken Health and Fitness, Justin has helped countless individuals on their journey toward health, fitness, and happiness.
